Why People Use A Coach
Increasing Confidence
Self-confident people seem more at ease with themselves, their work, and with others, while inspiring confidence in those around them.
They are able to trust their own judgment and abilities, have a high and healthy value of themselves, and feel worthy, regardless of any imperfections or of what others may believe about them.
A coach can help you build confidence - leading to accepting difficult challenges, increasing your coping skills, being willing to take risks to achieve better results, and having the ability to keep going in the face of setbacks.

Career Transitioning
Research has shown that making a career change is one of the 20 most stressful events that can happen in life.
If thinking about changing careers makes you feel anxious, paralyzed, and overwhelmed, a coach can help you navigate the changes and regain your sense of control and confident competency.
Problem Solving and Decision-Making
"How you think about a problem is more important than the problem itself." - Norman Vincent Peale
Dealing with problems and challenges is a normal part of life, and being able to overcome them isn't always easy. A coach is able to help you understand and separate your "divergent" and "convergent" thinking as a way to reduce the stress of problem solving and making better decisions.
Problem-solving, creative and critical thinking go hand-in-hand helping us to see the world from a number of different vantage points. Coaching can help you recognize and improve each of these ways of thinking to strengthen your capacity to think flexibly and intelligently when faced with the unending problems that life throws your way.
Increasing Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence (your emotional quotient, known as EQ or EI) is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.
A coach is able to help increase EQ and help you build stronger relationships, connect with your feelings, turn intention into action, and make informed decisions about what matters most.
High emotional intelligence can help you navigate the social complexities of the workplace, lead and motivate others, and excel in your career.

Reframing Perspectives
Reframing perspective means knowing how to change the meaning of a circumstance.
Coaching can help you gain new perspectives that can change the meaning of challenging and stressfull events. This, in turn, changes the feelings that come in response to the event, and changes your actions - leading to more positive outcomes.
Understanding Self & Others
Being able to recognize and understand general behavior characteristics (beginning with oneself) will enable you to anticipate specific behaviors and understand how they affect your interpersonal and social transactions.
A coach can help you utilize this knowledge prudently and increase your level of influence, develop better schemas and attitudes towards others, and increase your social cognition and interactions.
